We would like to introduce you very briefly the purpose of the action and the story ZKwP (Kennel Club in Poland),
the only Polish canine organization associated in the international structures FCI (Federation Cynologique Internationale).

From the history of ZKwP
Polish Kennel Club was established in 1938.
At the General Assembly of Delegates of the PKK (Polish Kennel Club / PKK / – so then sounded the name of our organization)
on 28 July 1938 passed the statute and elected authorities at the forefront of which stood gen.Brunon Olbrycht.
In 1939, on 2 June at the Congress in Stockholm / in the organization was adopted
the International Organization Cynologique FCI (Federation Cynologique Internationale).
Knowing the history and turbulent period of years 1939 to 1945 by everyone – not just fans of dog breeding,
breeders survived the most difficult time in the history of mankind. Nevertheless, in such difficult times,
some dog owners failed to keep very few representatives of the breed, who after the war with imported
foreign dogs of race gave rise to the reborn Polish cynology.
So slowly in hard times it reconstructed Polish Kennel Club.
Dated May 5, 1948, under the leadership of the then Minister of Public
Administration Wladyslaw Wolski reactivating its activities.
The next years 50th are very important and a breakthrough for the organization.
At that time has established contacts with the FCI and the decision taken at the General Assembly of the FCI
in Brussels on June 15, 1957 years – ZKwP is a member of the International Organisation of Cynologique FCI,
which belongs to the structures of today! It should also be noted that at this time a long-standing
and very fruitful presidency Edward Mikulski had culminated in May 1968, when the FCI
entrusted to Mr. Edward Mikulskiemu the function of the President of the FCI.
Another 1969 is the moment when Poland became host meeting of FCI in Warsaw where then on 10-11 May
representatives of the FCI and the delegation went to the ZKwP and the World Dog Show in Poland.
This one of the most important dog show in Poland was organized in Lodz and is called simply the International Dog Show!
Meanwhile, more and more exhibitions rank national, club, international appears in the calendar ZKwP,
and Poland once again is organizing great events kennel.
Among other things, held at:
2000 – European Dog Show in Poznan,
2006 – World Dog Show in Poznan,
2016 – World Dog Breeds Polish in Opole
and we will also organizers and hosts of the European Dog Show in Kielce in 2018.
